Solace In Headphones

Songwriter, audio engineer, and producer Allan Fine strives to capture and amplify varied voices of Nashville’s underground music scene.

The formative years of Allan’s life were spent absorbing surf droplets and chill vibes in the coastal Santa Cruz, CA. After his parents divorced, he moved with his Dad and brother back to a family property in small town Rehoboth, MA. In the austere winters there, he first started dabbling in existentialism and playing guitar.

Amateur recording started with a high school news show and continued with any student band he could get to work with him. He moved to Nashville in 2014 to study at Vanderbilt University.

Despite achieving a degree in electrical engineering, most free time in college was spent recording music with the occasional live performance sprinkled in. He honed his studio chops taking songwriting electives and coiling cables for Belmont student engineers. In his junior and senior year, Allan ran the Vanderbilt Recording Studio, teaching recording basics to underclassmen.

The DIY spirit continued after graduation with a home studio, A Little Room. Named in equal parts off of a White Stripes song and the fact that it’s located in his bedroom.

Currently, Allan is producing projects for other local artists (Natasha Blaine, Phil Curtis, Odessa Moon), working on a beat-driven producer record (All Music Is Noise v1), and recording a string of his own songs with his band The Finites.

Hey Now is the second single off of a longer upcoming project with Miriam Speyer. It is also the first released collaboration with Nashville native MC Lord Goldie, who is also featured on another All Music Is Noise Track.
